Health Camps

Free Medical Camps

Between April 2010 and October 2014, twenty five “Free Mobile Medical Camps” were provided with the support of Rotary International and the Government District Health Department. During this period, over 4,000 people were offered treatment and medicines free of charge. Impressed by the activities of SSG Foundation, Rotarians of Australia RI District 9810 under the leadership of PDG John Barnes, Mrs. Gaye Barnes, PDG Bob Richards and Mrs. Jill Richards offered support in these Medical Camps and provided one Medical Van in the month of November 2014 in collaboration with Rotary Club Moradabad. Thereafter the activities of SSG Foundation greatly accelerated.

Medical and Immunization Camps

Due to the availability of transport facility SSG Foundation, between November 2014 and December 2015, organized 86 Free Medical Camps in slums and rural areas of Moradabad, wherein 22219 patients were treated and provided medicines, 11130 children were immunized against seven dreaded infectious diseases i.e. Polio, T.B., Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis-B and Measles as well as 425 pregnant women were provided ANC immunization. These medical camps were organized with the support of Government District Health Department. In some of these Medical Camps, support from Rotarians of England (RI District 1240) under the leadership of Rtn Paul Harvey was also received. During these Camps 73 malnourished children were spotted who were given special treatment and referred to higher centre for care.

Mission Indradhanush Program

We also supported Mission Indradhanush Program of Govt. of India by providing Banners, Hoardings and announcements through PA System at several places in the city of Moradabad and surrounding rural areas in order to promote coverage of Universal Immunization Program to save children from 7 dreaded diseases. Rallies were taken out in the city of Moradabad. During this program we immunized 622 children and obtained blood slides to diagnose Malaria in 777 patients. This program was conducted in collaboration with District Health Department, Moradabad.

Awareness Camps

In order to create awareness for Breast Feeding, Diarrhea Control and Personal Hygiene, we displayed banners, distributed leaflets and made announcements through PA System in slums and underprivileged areas in Moradabad. During this period, we organized community and media meetings to sensitize general public about Universal Immunization Program, Malnourishment of children and Personal Hygiene.

Eye Relief Camps

SSG Foundation has organized Eye Relief Camps in several schools with the help of C.L. Gupta Eye Institute, Moradabad and other Ophthalmologists wherein free glasses are being provided to students.
